07 February 2018 6 2K Report

Green Tea extract sold for use in food and drink contains up to 4600 ppm Fluoride. Tablets and capsules on sale in Australia that have been reported to the Therapeutic Goods Administration for causing death and injury usually report the content only as equivalent mass of tea leaves. In one tablet this is 25 gram of tea equivalent, representing a massive Fluoride dose and a potentially lethal total dose in the bottle. Does anyone have analytical data for Fluoride in tablets or capsules currently on the market? Some such products have been withdrawn in Europe after causing acute Liver injury.
