Those guys have many protocols on sample colection and preservation.

Simplest thing to do is keep it in a freezer at -80º C or colder.

Keeping it on liquids like formaldehyde or 70% alcohol is a other option. You risk dilution of the antigen that you're tring to detect.

And formaldehyde is not the healthiest of products.(carcinogenic)

Mr. David, i'm trying to detect the presence of human enteric viruses such as rotavirus, astrovirus and a few more that are detectable in the gastrointestinal tract of fishes.
