Glucose oxidase assay for colorimetric glucose concentration determination?

Hi all,

As per usual commercial kits are $$$. Can anyone suggest a colorimetric glucose oxidase assay kit that doesn't break the bank / can be modified to increase the sample number it can process? Ideally it would be nice to be able to have a protocol that uses the appropriate reagents (the glucose oxidase and peroxidase enzymes and substrates) independently of buying the kit.

I am also facing the same problem and had the same idea. Did you in the meantime already solve it and found a good protocol?
