Can anyone help to find out why the state variable 1(SDV(1)) in the output is showing zero?

You are trying to use the variable "TEMP" to store the temperature value without having defined it. Fortran variables should be first declared, try inserting "DOUBLE PRECISION TEMP" before calling the utility routine "GETVRM"

Well you didn't mention that you wanted to calculate a temperature difference, but this could be done by writing the following lines:

Also for the clarification ,if DTEMP=TEMP-STATEV(1),how the Abaqus take the STATEV(1) as current temperature?
or Is it the Statev(1) is the current temperature by default?
Anoop Pillai I define TEMP as the current temperature. STATEV(1) is defined later in the subroutine as being equal to TEMP, which means that at the end of the execution it is equal to the current temperature too. However, when DTEMP=TEMP-STATEV(1) is calculated, STATEV(1) hasn't been updated yet, which means that it still corresponds to the temperature of the previous increment.
