Hello,

So I have been doing some cloning work. and I have been comparing two gel bands. One gel band is the product before gel isolation, the other is after. On the gel, one seems bigger then the other despite them (for sure) being the same fragment.

I am wondering if others have seen such problem? I am hypothesizing that perhaps agarose contamination within the gel extraction is slowing down the gel extracted fragment.

Just wanted to see if anyone has bumped into this in the past.
