In management theory and business ethics, Spiral Dynamics (SD) is a model of the evolutionary development of individuals, organizations, and societies. SD is renowned as an example of applied memetics. The holistic memetic (turquoise) brings a collective of individuals into harmony. The focus is on the sum of the units, perceived and promoted as integrated systems. GAIA-X as a data and service platform could be an opportunity to advance Europe as a systemic entity. Nevertheless, GAIA-X platform is not without controversy.

I am not overly familiar with the spiral dynamics model; my own perspective is one of quantum social interdependency, where a society or collection of individuals possesses a natural tendency to entropic activity. Social order, is brought about by negentropic actions, such as the the creation of institutions and structures that (socially) order individual behaviour. I see the GAIA-X as one such structure. In and of itself, it therefore has the potential to serve a purpose of supporting negentropic social order. The difficulty comes when it becomes an end in itself, in which case it may tend to the procrustean, enforcing a uniformity or conformity that ignores the residual entropy, until it is too late to do anything about it.
I don't see GAIA-X as a platform to order social behavior. Any ontogenetic developments remain unaffected by this platform. It creates value-added services, which would not be possible without it and its data. Until the critical amount of data is reached, this platform behaves negentropically, as soon as the services are pronounced, it switches to entropy.
Steffen Kaup, I take your point, however I see that, as one of the key principles, the notion of "regulation by automation" suggests the service goal is of an entropic outcome to be trusted/permitted because it is underpinned by the GAIA-X platform, and its embedded values. Innovation yes, but in the GAIA-X way. I am no expert here, but I do think it raises some interesting questions (of ethics?). I do not say that the purpose of the platform is to order social behaviour, but it may unwittingly constrain aspects of it.
Steffen Kaup actually It is described as being supported by representatives of science, business and administration from Germany and France, together with other European partners. The name of the project is derived from one of the first Greek deities, Gaia. but it may unwittingly constrain aspects of social behaviour.
Gaia was the first deity from whom all others emerged. She was born out of chaos. Catalyzed by Eros, she created Uranus, her partner. Gaia-X is envisioned to be representative of the mother of all shared data and services in europe and beyond.
