The Gleißinger Fels (Gottesgab Mine), Fichtelberg, Bayreuth District, Upper Franconia, Bavaria, Germany, is a Variscan hematite-bearing quartz vein 11 km SSW from Weißenstadt, 20 km NE Bayreuth. The age of this mineralization is not exactly known. But maybe it fits your search.

the 1st barite I-hematite-quarz paragenese phase at the Herrmannsberg-area / Saar-Nahe Basin probably falls in this period (Grimm et al. 1990: Aufschluss 41: 265-280).

in the area surrounding Hof, the Frankenwald as well as the Vogtland area there are many quartz-iron veins cutting early to late paleozoic rocks. Maybe some of those veins fit in your window of time.

Sehr geehrter Herr Schäfer,

the vein-type deposits of the Frankenwald and Vogtland are siderite-ankerite-baryte-bearing Cu-Co-Ni-As-sulfide veins of Cenozoic age. The only veins which fall in this category are hematite-quartz veins cutting through the Late Paleozoic granites. The Fe-(W) deposit which is akin to what is referred to in this thread is the Rotenfels Mine where W minerals and hematite occur side by side with each other (mainly converted in so-called "Roter Glaskopf"/ collomorphous hydrated hematite). At Gleisinger FelsFe is present in specularite like Waldenstein, Austria. In Sparnberg-Pottiga Fe is accomodated in the lattice of mushketovite, magnetite pseudomorphosing plates of hematite. The latter is a skarn deposit mainly for W and Sn in the roof rocks of the Sparnberg-Pottiga G4 granite under amhibolite hornfels facies conditions (Sn granite G 4). You can check this literature and you will find everything what you need.
