All three instruments (SWLS,SPANE,Flourishing scale-previously called psychological well-being) have been developed by Ed.Diener et al.

Most researchers use the SWLS and PANAS or Bradburn's Affect balance scale to measure Subjective Well-Being (SWB). However, I decided upon to use the SPANE after reading a number of articles (including an article by Ed.Diener himself) - because the SPANE has been constructed keeping in view the limitations of PANAS and the Affect Balance Scale.

Am I right in my decision? Or should I stick to using PANAS?

Another question that I have in my mind is, should I also use the Flourising Scale as an additional measure of subjective well-being?

The Flourishing Scale is a brief 8-item summary measure of the respondent's self-perceived success in important areas such as relationships, self-esteem, purpose, and optimism. The scale provides a single psychological well-being score.

Or will the SWLS and SPANE(or PANAS or Affect Balance Scale) suffice?

Looking forward to knowing the viewpoints of my fellow ResearchGate members.
