We have a 8 position filter turret on a Leice DM6000 scope that we have replaced several times now, and it is necessary again. It seems to wear down from switching between channels when shooting double-labeled fluorescent material. I am wondering if other Leica microscope users have had the same experience, and whether they have replaced the 5 or 8 position turret. I am trying to figure out how common this is for Leica. At ~$3000 each it seems ridiculous to be replacing a major part of the scope every 1-2 years. Would like to hear of other people's experience especially if your scope is heavily used.
