I have observed conflicting trends when using daily mean (showing an increasing trend) and hourly mean (showing a decreasing trend) data for PM2.5 and Ozone over the same time period in an urban location. This has caused confusion regarding which dataset represents the actual relationship between the two pollutants. Can you provide some clarification on this matter?

Nir Benmoshe increasing and decreasing trends I mentioned were as follows

Increasing trend was noticed when saw the correlation between PM2.5 And Ozone using daily mean data

Decreasing trend was noticed when saw the correlation between PM2.5 And Ozone using hourly mean data

Same data period was considered in both the cases over an urban region.
