Thank you for the kind response. As you have said, you may put in reagents for a particular reaction to take place. But the proper reaction occurs only when the added reagents possess the particular purity level and also reagent preparation in chemical industries differ. So, in this case I would love to hear your experiences working with chemicals/ reagents of varying quality and the results obtained. What you said was exactly what I meant. GIGO Why do you suppose Analytical Chemists use Analytical grade reagents?. Further, why do you suppose biochemical preps don't always work in different hands? Not everything is the same. I am surprised a chemist would ask this question. As an example try to prepare PhiX174 closed circular DNA by what is written in a paper. That is why biochemists have strict protocols for everything. Ciao
