From my ABAQUS dynamic explicit analysis output, I am getting something fishy, i.e. my kinetic energy curve is fluctuating (ALLKE), see picture below. I am already making sure that the kinetic energy (ALLKE) is way less than the internal energy (ALLIE) however, I am still getting a very noisy force-displacement curve which I suspect has something to do with my fluctuating ALLKE. Does anyone ever encounter something like this?
Also, is it normal to have ALLKE greater than ETOTAL, see picture below?

First of all, it is common to have some noises in the ABAQUS/Explicit as shown in your ALLKE plot. However, you have noises with large amplitude at the end of your ALLKE plot. You should check out what has happened to your model at this time. Moreover, the ETOTAL is the sum of several different energies. In other words, it is a sum of several minus and positive values. So, it may or not ALLKE is greater than the ETOTAL.

The total energy is not an issue here. The Kinetic energy shows something wrong is happening in your data. It may be due to discrete rigid motion if any, or contact issues. Without putting details of the assembly, loading and interaction, it is not a complete question to be answered.

I believe I have loaded the specimen too fast and therefore I am getting a lot of noise in the ALLKE at the beginning of the analysis. However, I am happy to see some noise later in the analysis due to material failure.
