The yield stress (flow stress Y) during dynamic indentation, as a rule, exceeds static. Our data suggest that the fully plastic state during dynamic indentation is achieved at very small strains (less 2%). The strain at which a fully plastic state occurs during static indentation (in our experiments) is much higher (4%). Material - steel 200 HB. Is there any other experimental data for this? Or a theoretical base? Or we can describe this fact using ratio E/Y. E - elastic modulus.
