Has anybody simulated GE Compressor? I had simulated this 17th stages compressor with the CFX; when I used a coarse mesh with y+=30 and k-w turbulence model, there is no problem in convergence and everything in CFD-POST is fine. But when it comes to simulating with a fine mesh, y+=1 and SST turbulence model; Inlet mass decreases and post-process show a big region of flow separation near the leading edge close to the hub. Can anybody give me any tips?

I have not simulated specifically the GE frame 9 compressor but had an experience of turbine and compressors CFD simulations. Based on your problem statement its quite tricky to guess where things went wrong. As it may be a single issue or can be multiple too. So I request if you can provide the above details ( if sharing in open domain is an issue then feel free to PM) then I can give you a constructive and helpful tips based on my experience.
1. Please share the mesh cut-section across the blade passage and the close to hub wall. (for both the meshes) I feel may be the inadequate aspect ratio and size functions were leads toward the issue.
2. I would also want to see the inlet to outlet mass distribution trend at particular stage.
