Filter sterilisation of wheat flour hydrolysate?

Hi all,

I have a question regarding filter sterilization,I have filter-sterilized wheat flour hydrolysate using 0.22 um filters, I analyzed the filtered sample using flow cytometry and there was no viable cells observed, however after incubating the filtered sample at 37 degree C for 24 hours, there were cells, what could be the reason behind? Spores may be?
