Hello,

I want to measure/adjust the pH of tetrahydrofuran (THF) of different dilutions with water. After reading brochures some of the pH meters, I get to know that LiCl in Ethanol should be used a filling solution for the special (nonaqueous) pH probe. What is unclear to me is, there are many commercially available LiCl solutions (in ethanol) For example, 1M LiCl in ethanol, 2 M LiCl in ethanol and LiCl saturated in ethanol etc.

1. what concentration of ethanol is appropriate in measuring what type of (or) nonaqueous+water mixtures.

2. LiCl solubility in ethanol is less than 1M. How the companies are producing LiCl in ethanol? is it a LiCl in pure ethanol or 70% ethanol?

Thanks for giving your time
