In an ideal Chl a OJIP fluorescence transient, we record distinct O-J, J-I and I-P steps. Plants exposed to stress often show alteration in this OJIP fluorescence transient kinetics and accordingly these steps, in particular J-I and I-P rise. We often see enhanced cyclic photophosphorylation in plants exposed to abiotic stresses. Is there a link between J-I/I-P steps and cyclic photophosphorylation.
