If you are using constant temperature boundary conditions, try using time dependent boundary conditions. Without more detail into the analysis you are performing, it is difficult to give you a more in depth answer.

Message 3021 means "file not open". For example, a record forward operation found that the file has not been opened for processing. It is most likely due to a bug in the code arising from an unexpected situation that was not planned for. You should contact MSC Nastran tech support.
