You can use MATLAB's PDE toolbox for the design of antenna and import that design in MATLAB's Antenna Toolbox where you can visualise far-field radiation pattern, near-field pattern, gain, directivity, reflection coefficient, charge distribution and surface current distribution. You can design antenna element and exploit MATLAB's Phased Array Toolbox to do further signal processing for example beamforming.

If your new to antenna designing try using CST or HFSS.These software are more widely used and  comparatively more accurate for antenna designing.

I stupidly did one in Sonnet but wanted to see the far field.
