Dear All,

We are facing problems in the calculated pooled prevalence and result interpretation in the meta-analysis. A total of 7160 pregnant women were included, of which 1182 were found HEV positive. By simple prevalence formula, the value we got is; 1182/7160 × 100= 16.51%.

By using the STATA software we got a different value; prevalence (95% CI)= 0.19 (0.14,0.24).

Please, need your kind suggestions, how to justify and interpret the two different values from the same data.

Thank you in advance!

Regards

Tauseef Ahmad
