We have developed a new pump that allows for Low Pressure Flash Distillation of Water, but we have a POC that has a Methanl tainted well. We reach 2.2 PSIA @ 40 Liters of vacuum per cycle which is between 1 and 10 sec. The pump can move 6220 Gallons per hour at >3KW. What I need to know is what would the optimal vacuum be for Methanol extraction in the diagram, and how would you see any required modification. If we move to a rotary detonation pump we can hit vacuums below 1 PSIA
