I want to extract quercetin from the leaves of Centella asiatica. It is an aglycone flavonoid and therefore is less polar compared to other flavonoids . What should be the appropriate solvent - Methanol, ethanol, or less polar solvent like DCM or Ethyl acetate?

I think Hexane – Hexane is a popular solvent for extraction as it has a very low VOC, is safe to be used with goods produced for consumption, and it produces no foul odor or poisonous fumes.
