Hi

did anyone try to express a mouse protein in a human cell line?

I am investigating the role of a protein in the regulation of the tumor microenvironment (TME) in renal cell carcinoma. I have some interesting results in TME alterations by using murine renal carcinoma RENCA cells (overexpressing such a protein) when implanted in mice. I want to validate my data using a human cell line (i.e. 786-0 ), but unfortunately the human ortholog can not bind to the mouse receptor. So, when I implant the human cells (overexpressing the human ortholog) in mice, this protein is basically inactive in the murine microenvironment. I think that the expression of the mouse protein in the human cell line could be a valid alternative for confirming my preliminary data using another cell line (unfortunately, there are no available murine cell lines other than RENCA cells).

Thanks
