This is Rameez,a research scholar at IIT Mandi,India. I'm working on prediction droplet shape and using Surface Evolver software for the same. I'm learning the software right now. Could you please tell me how to extract/export data from the shape generated in surface evolver so that I can plot its coordinates in some other software like Matlab or make an animation of the movement of the surface? Hi,
To extract the data from surface evolver you can use the dump command and put the output file name in quotes.
Like this: dump "outfile"
This file will contain the information on the geometry of the fluid in its state of minimum energy.
