I am studying the vibration of twisted blade under rotation using scanning head PSV 500 .
We positioned the LDV to be in front of the blade . dispositions is available in the attached picture.
- The case is for the same blade but oriented in different manner.
the (x1) is the direction where the vibration appears in each case of blade disposition.
- I would like to know at each case how the vibrometry work and how it gives the results. is there any need to re-position it.
Hi there. I think based on the figure you have posted. It seems to me that Vibrometer is positioned 90° to where it should have been (incase of Fig 2 and 3).
Laser Vibrometer measures out of the plane vibrations so based on your figures for Fig.1, 2 and 3, the vibrometer should be positioned in the direction x1 to capture that vibrational response.
In these cases too, you might capture 'some' data yet it would be the resultant component (of true displacement of blade) in x1 direction based on your positioning in some other direction. For eg: in Fig1, you will capture the sin component of the vibrations since your vibrometer is in Y direction.
