The solvent you should use for extracting midpolar compounds is Ethyl acetate or chloroform..

Yes, you can use. DCM is better than chloroform, more compounds are extracted and dissolved in DCM compare to chloroform.

And are there any other Mid-polar compounds ,despite flavenoids

And also why is it that mostly when DCM and Methanol are used during extraction ,they are used in ratio 1:1
