I am searching any methods to increase stevioside and seconder metabolites level in tissue cultured Stevia plants. Do you know specific any plant growth regulators or explant sources (leaf, stem, node etc.) for enhancement of biologically active substances in vitro? Please send your experiences on the subject.

According to my experience, whenever you want to increase the production of metablitos you should think about adding the precursors to the culture medium and also, use the explant that produces it. In America several researchers have published in micropropagation and temporary immersion of Stevia. I attach some of them. I would suggest to additionally to the precursor and elicitor apply moderate abiotic stress like temperature variation to induce a stress response as metabolites may be increased by stress.
