I am growing mouse embryonic stem cell-derived embryoid bodies (8 bodies per well of a 12-well palte) and was wondering if anyone knows how to prevent the bodies from clumping together within the well? Even when I manually pipette each body into a separate location within the well, they tend to clump.

Conveniently, 8x12=96. Is there any reason why you cannot put them into 96-well plates?
Other than using physical isolation by 96-wells or cloning rings, I don't know of a way to keep them apart. Any disturbance to the plate or incubator is going to bring them together.
Ron and Nicolas: Thank you for your response! I actually have 8 different clones that need to be put through EB, so I would have to set up 8 x 96-w plates. A little more time-consuming. But, as you say, if that's the only way, it's got to be done. Thanks!
