Hello,
I am a new research student and entirely new to the field and it's processes.
We wish to measure allopregnanolone in the blood via ELISA.
We anticipate we will get small and infrequent numbers of patients who volunteer for blood collection. Thus, it is essential we freeze the blood (to run them all on the same ELISA kit).
The blood will be frozen for no more than 1-3 months. It will be analysed once we reach a suitable number of samples. We have the capability to centrifuge the blood.
I have tried searching the literature on this matter but found relatively little. I suspect it is a matter of experience rather than anything someone puts in the method section of a paper. I would appreciate everyone sharing their experiences.
