How do you screen for an E3 ligase for your protein of interest? I have confirmed data that my protein of interest gets ubiquitinated and degraded under a particular stress condition. My next steps are co-IP coupled with MS to identify proteins that interact with my protein of interest in that stress condition. Fingers crossed that one of them is a know E3 ligase but what should my next steps be if this doesn't turn out to be like this.
