Good afternoon, Has a DSC user observed this type of thermogram in a heating and cooling scan by having both the reference cell and the sample cell empty? Our team is a PerkinElmer DSC8500 and the technician had doubts about whether they could be retained impurities or other factors. We have performed a cleaning of the equipment by heating at 600 ° C in an air atmosphere, but the problem is repeated. I enclose a photo of the thermogram taken from 50 to 300ºC without sample inserted.
I guess the pickup sensor in the DSC may be gone. Check for machine capability . some time this occurs becasue of ventilated (poor closing) of pan too.
Thank you for your recomendation. I will try to run a thermogram without passing nitrogen through the cells, to chek if there is a ventilation problem.
