Hello everyone. I do have a certain question about the dry casting or named dry phase inversion. Normally this technique comprises a material (polymer) homogeneously dispersed in a solvent (volatile) + a non-solvent (non-volatile) following a drying (able to produce dense, porous and asymmetric membranes). My question is if there is possible to change the volatility of the system aiming to produce the same membrane structure using a non-volatile solvent together with a volatile non-solvent.

Dear Dr. Mohammed, Thank you for your answer, I’ve already read all the papers. However, all the works related to the evaporation phase separation made the morphologic consideration about a volatile solvent with a non volatile solvent. And the explanation of a nonvolatile solvent with a volatile non-solvent are not explained about the strucutre after an evaporation step
