Some scientists are best motivated by good weather, others by bad weather to write a scientific paper. Some need a certain temperature - or are affected by their motivation due to excessive heat, cold and a certain type of weather. There are certainly colleagues whove have no problem with any weather, and there colleagues who have allways problems to write, whatever the weather. How is it with you? Which conditions are optimal for you?
Not really but weather can prolong or haste sleeping.
I confess: Sometimes I am motivated by good weather, sometimes by espeicially bad weather - and often it takes me a while to find the thread to get started. But once I start, I often can't stop - and the whole thing has become much too long, so it's not suitable for publication.

Writing depends essentially on a vital need, whether under conditions of compulsory requirements or even its natural restlessness. The important thing is to focus, start and finish.
Motivation to have one's hand on research cannot be affected by weather conditions even though certain types of weather may adversely influence the speed of work. Apparently, in a hot, soporific weather condition , researcher's optimal functioning would be very difficult.

Thank you for that answer. Perhaps one should basically separate work motivation from current work motivation. If I have understood the answer correctly, then only the current work motivation - perhaps only in special cases - depends on the weather. Temperature certainly plays a major role here. At 12 degrees Celsius in winter it gets difficult for me. I remember my wife knitting gloves for my typewriter when there was no computer. But I had to keep my fingertips open or I couldn't write. However, I froze especially at the fingertips. These times are no longer. It's only just memory.

Of course, I understand this argument. But we also have moments in our lives and ask ourselves why we do some things to meet the deadline of a magazine or some other external obligation. My personal experience is that when I am full of new research results, I act as you have said. But often it happens that we have difficult topics to work on, there one must again and again anew begin to think, and there the weather plays - so is my experience - then sometimes a supporting or inhibiting role.

it is more dependent on my mood than the weather. internal factors are more influential than external ones for me .sometime, I love to continue conducting research all day and night without interruption to find out more .those days , I am in the mood of researching continuously regardless of the weather.

For me writing fiction is sometimes influenced by weather since it creates a mood in me with regards to the theme. However for writing scientific papers it does not much matter. Data is data and the analysis and results will be the same no matter what the weather outside is or how my mood is. Bad mood may result in procrastination of the writing but makes no difference to the content expressed.
