I'm running ALU fragments on a 1% gel with EtBr added to the gel. After running the gel for 30 minutes at 100 V and viewing under Uv light the bands could be hardly seen, they were not clear and appeared blurry. Tried running for another 30 minutes and had the same result. Thank you for any help!

Yes, most likely, the concentration of salts will be incredibly high, this is going to cause some wacky changes.

I only added 10miroliters to the gel and then stained again after with the same blurry results. I re did the gel and used the proper 1x TBE and got perfect results so unless I had did something wrong previously I believe the concentration caused the blurriness of the bands
