Dear researchers,
I have submitted my paper to a journal, and get lots of comments from the reviewers. Some questions are extremely difficult, so I am here to look for some inspiration and help!
First, it is about factor analysis. In my model, there is an underlying construct, and it has 5 dimensions. I adopted dimensions from another paper, however, I added a new dimension because of the contextual differences. The reviewer asked me to conduct factor analysis to show that after including the newly added factor, there are still 5 factors and all of these factors load significantly on this underlying construct. Does the reviewer suggest me do an EFA, then CFA? How do I test if all factors load significantly on this underlying construct?
Third, when evaluating the measurement model, I have deleted 8 out of 35 items because of low indicator loadings and considered the content validity by following the suggestions by Hair et al., (2017). The reviewer asked me to demonstrate this does not harm nomological validity. I feel it is hard to demonstrate, does anyone have this experience?
Thank you for all your help during this journey, I am learning a lot of knowledge here!
Best Regards
Kara
