What i think is that we need to consider on this until or unless it have constitutive expression every expression is regulatory .
I guess you are talking about inserting an aditional copy of a gene already present in the bacterial genome. If this is the case, it depends on the place where you insert the gene, and the presence of a promotor. I agree with Sulman Shafeeq. The insertion in the bacterial chromosome may render a modest increase in the synthesis of the product coded for by the gene. You might get a high synthesis increase inserting the gene in a multicopy plasmid. These plasmids have a very high replication efficiency, and can be present in tens or even hundreds of copies in the same bacteria. This is one of the mechanisms developed by bacteria for becoming resistant to some antibiotics, such as the combination amoxicillin/clavulanic acid. The inclusion of the bla gene coding for TEM beta-lactamase in a multicopy plasmid, leads to the synthesis of high amounts of this betalactamase, that overwhelms the protective capacity of clavulanic acid.
