Does Solidworks plastics give more accurate results for entire detailed mold with many components or for a mold with cooling channels and cavity only?

In order to obtain the most accurate cooling time is it best to conduct a SOLIDWORKS plastics simulation using:

a) A mold design with its cooling channels and all its many components like back plate, ejector pins etc and the plastic/cavity.

b) A mold design obtained by extruding a mold cross-section such as a rectangle containing only the cooling channel and the plastic/cavity.
