FL-PVDF is just a type of PVDF. Before protein transfer, you must wet your PVDF membrane in 100% methanol from 15 sec to 1 min. This activates the chemical groups in membrane and allows the interaction of membrane with proteins. Then, rinse the membrane with MQ/transfer buffer to remove excess methanol. Immerse your gel and membrane in transfer buffer (equilibrium step) for 5 min prior to protein transfer.

Yes is very important you wet it in absolute methanol (100%)
