Long Term Care Homes across Canada ( and probably USA) remain places with major outbreaks of COVID-19. Should this facilities closed and seniors and patients moved in to hospitals, and special field hospitals which adapted only for seniors? Probably Public Health need elaborate new technologies for medical care for infected seniors?
I believe, if major outbreak with COVID -19 will continued, especially in long term care homes, this homes should be closed for total disinfection and seniors should moved in to field hospitals or hospitals organized in big warehouses, with all necessary facilities for health procedures, good ventilation...
I think one major issue here would be the already lacking capacities of hospitals, which makes moving patients infeasible. Instead, there should be higher efforts to increase the safety of patients and nurses/physicians in nursing homes. One way here, as research has already indicated, might be digitalizing some aspects of inpatient care (e.g., medication, communication, maybe even some forms of diagnosis and other treatments).

Probably, situation in nursing homes with hygiene, ventilation and sanitary situations are not good.
China, Russia and some countries in Europe build a new hospitals for infection diseases, particularly for COVID-19, in short time periods.
I believe, that Canada and USA need to build hospitals, with specialization for infection diseases. Or use field hospitals. Need new technologies for supports high medical standards in nursing homes.
Dmitri Popov You are right, rapidly establishing new clinics that particularly treat infectious patients could be a measure.
Interestingly, I recently read on the news that such a hospital has been established in a major urban region here in Germany and it is, to date, by far not utilized to capacity, many of the beds are empty. This implies that efforts to establish such clinics should be preceded by careful considerations regarding the clinic's location and actual demand. Apparently, something went wrong in the planning phase or the demand is much lower than expected, at least in that region.
Yesterday, I watched Canadian TV news channel. TV show nursing home, building, and I can see personal through windows. Probably, nurses. They don't use masks, PPI. TV show old people sitting in room all together, without social distancing..
So, medical measures not working. Of course, they have outbreaks and high mortality.

As others have suggested, LTC homes needs to have better policies for pandemics and in the future. Other than technological solutions there are management solutions that hospitals have utilized that LTC homes can use to decrease rates of infections such as those suggested by this article:
