It seems most of the literature only use 'trial and error' calibration techniques, which is difficult to implement if the modeller has less agricultural/agronomic expert knowledge.
To calibrate this model for each region and for each plant by experimental measurements. Auto calibration can be used by knowing the appropriate intervals for each parameter. But it will reduce model accuracy.
