Given the varitey of imaging methods available between clinical methods that are use to detect various type of cancer, so it's important to note whether these methods are aggressive or not and how much harmful they are?
Certainly, imaging techniques by radiation can have destructive effects on the cancerous tumor, But does colonoscopy or endoscopy imaging also have negative effects on the cancerous tumor?
And whether doing it in the false and inexperience manner will have negative effects?

Colonoscopy is the gold standard and the most common and accurate tool for detecting important structural lesions of the lower gastrointestinal tract, but it can cause minor injuries, bleeding and perforation or discomfort to the patients because of the the existence of sharp angulation or looping of the colon.
These injuries may lead to some new malignancy or have negative effects on the cancerous tumor, but it all depends almost entirely on a persons epigenetic make-up & presence of specific Oncogenes like Src-family & BTK family in Tyrosine kinase , Abl gene in CML etc.
Much more advanced imaging techniques like magnetic endoscopic imaging seems to be a better option, but again it all comes down to the patient's genetic make-up.
Colonoscopy when performed by experienced operators has no major complications. Its usefulness exceeds by far any major risk.
Colonoscopy is a safe method to explore the entire colon, and causes no radiation or any negative effect on cancerous tumor. Colonoscopy is the gold standard for detecting and removing pre cancerous lesions such as polyps, it represents a reliable screening test and I agree that advantages of this method exceeds the potential risks (in experienced hands)
