Hi, Al Sahin-Tomek, embolisms to which part of organs? Do you mean pulmonary embolism, cerebrovascular embolic infarction, or right axillary vein thromboembolism?
The simple answer to the "cause" question is no! A great number of things can contribute to the condition and possibly when many things get together the result may be undesirable. For example the fact that the person has had surgery can contribute, the cancer itself, medications the person may be on, their general health, smoking, bacterial infections, heart disease, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, and high cholesterol are some of the contributing risk factors.
