I find it helpful to be able to search for articles and papers on ResearchGate, and not just abstract.
For open access publications, its not a problem. But for journals that require subscription to access a material, I don't think it is safe.
From my viewpoint, it can infringe on copyrights; and I do not care as knowledge is meant to be shared to as wide a population as we can reach; otherwise, it is useless. I have benefited so much from the work of so many others!
