For economic reason, a 15cm/1cm tape, is cut from one side of the 15/15 cm polypropylene monofilament mesh.
Otherwise, for more length the tape can be cut in the diagonal of the square

We tried to use this self tailored mesh from gyna-mesh of Johnson and Johnson , it gives accepted results may be equal to the original ones for short term but it has long operative time and no data for long term result regarding uretheral erosions

I use it four times with a very good short term results. the first one done 8 months ago. but the problem is that the mesh enroled over itself.
Thank you Dr Azzawi, for sharing your experience. I think that the mesh rolled over itself because the quality of the mesh which must not be extendable. Also, the surgeon might have applied a lot of traction on the mesh until it was deformed.
