I measured an echo somewhere in the states and would like to publish the investigation and results. I am now looking for some other papers and maybe compare my results with some.
In an old book (1941): Physics of the open air, by prof. Minnaert some paragraphs address echo's. As we have no cliffs or canyons in our country, the echo's in this book are caused by buildings, and linear wood edges. Delay times are given, between some 0,5 and 0,8 seconds; probably measured with a stop watch....
He also mentions an echoing (artificial) well; a few years ago I made measurements there, published in the proceedings of the Acoustical Society of The Netherlands. All are in Dutch, unfortunately. I could provide you with this paper, if you like.
I would love to get it even if its in dutch .. iam german so i may understand half of it ... and then i run it through google translater .. see what comes out
