I am using visual analog mood scale to interpret anger and depression as a baseline and post-test measure. I wanted to understand how to score and interpret the VAMS scale. Please guide me through the process.
As far as I understood, VAMS is scored using aa ruler that measures the distance from 0 to 100 mm from the neutral end of the line to the middle of the mark. The raw score will be retrieved from the scale. Then the raw score for each scale will be converted to age and gender appropriate Linear-transformed T scores, and the T scores can be graphically represented.
I don't understand how the raw score can be converted to age and gender appropriate Linear-transformed T score.
