Hello Researcher,

In my thesis experiment, I should measure the thickness and analyze the morphology from the cross-sectional TiO2 layer formed on a Pure Ti substrate. I formed it by using 2 oxidizing methods, Heat treatment and anodizing, so there are 2 phases formed (HT: Rutile and Anod: Anatase). For HT I use 650 and 800oC for 14H and for Anodizing I use H2SO4 with 75 and 100V for 2 minutes.

However, I can't see it using an optic microscope. My friend told me that I should polish it using H2O2 so I can see the morphology clearly, but from what I know TiO2 is soluble in H2O2. I need your recommendation on what kind of liquid is proper to use for polishing and etching.

Thanks in advance.
