Common method bias (CMB) occurs when there is a variance attributable to the measurement method instead of the constructs that the measures try to represent (Podsakoff, MacKenzie, Lee & Podsakoff, 2003). There are few methods to test CMB which include Harman Method (finding it AMOS SEM related), Lindell & Whitney Method (finding it applicable to SmartPLS) and easier but more general approach of Bagozzi et al. Method (Bagozzi, Yi & Phillips, 1991). Correlation between pairs of constructs below 0.9 indicated there was no common method bias. I used any method that best & fastest meet my research purpose.
method bias refer any kind of bias introduced by the factors of SEM...so that the estimator has shifted in some specific direction...It could be sampling bias due to the the systematic difference or related errors in the sampling, it could also be due to the systematic measurement error which is called the measurement bias...there can also be several other causes of bias in SEM.....a good reference is
