I believe that we can make a conceptual model for watershed reclamation projects driven from wasteland reclamation and integration of reclaimed lands into a basin. does anyone know of such a model or have published any relevant reports?
Hi..., Thanks for a nice question. Actually this is not a direct answer but a probable solution. The area under reclamation can be given "Subsoiling" treatment on trial basis. Based on the results, appropriate modelling technique can be adopted. Due to subsoiling, the area gets fractured, hard pan breaks, which leads to better aeration / more oxygen uptake, moisture conservation, increased water recharge etc. Incase of any help, please contact me on "[email protected]" email. Thanks & warm regards.
There are conceptual models for reclamation of landfills, mine tailing wastes, and abandoned mine areas. I would search the literature in those areas. Good luck with your interesting question.
