There exist many tumor cell lines that have c-Myc gene amplification. Examples are:
The H2171 small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) cell line (Johnson et al., 1987), which has a c-Myc gene amplification
The MM1.S multiple myeloma (MM) cell line (Shou et al., 2000), which has an IGH-MYC translocation,
The U-87 MG glioblastoma multiform (GBM) cell line (Hirvonen et al., 1994), in which c-Myc levels accumulate due to enhanced expression.
Moreover, the Daudi and Raji, which are Burkitt's lymphoma cell lines, have c-Myc amplification as a result of an IGH-MYC translocation [t(8;14)(q24;q32)].
Thank you Christos. We would like to focus specifically on cells that are known to have c-myc gene amplification, not just over-expression. SCLC would be great, besides, are you aware of an attached cell line?
